Camsols E Commerce Private Limited (“Camsols”, “we”, “us” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information that we process in connection with our websites, applications, integrations and services.

This Privacy Policy applies to merchants, business users, authorised account users and, where applicable, customers whose information is processed through connected e-commerce platforms. By accessing or using Camsols services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on the Services used, Camsols may collect information directly from you, from Shopify or other connected platforms, and from technical systems used to operate the Services.

2. Information You Provide Directly

When you create or use a Camsols account, contact support, purchase services or otherwise interact with us, we may collect:

• your name;
• business name;
• business address;
• email address;
• phone number;
• account role and business association;
• login credentials and account authentication information;
• support requests and communications;
• billing, invoicing or commercial information where applicable; and
• other information that you choose to provide.

Passwords are stored using secure hashing methods and are not intended to be stored in readable plaintext form.

3. Information Received Through Shopify

When a merchant installs or uses Camsols Order Management, Camsols may receive and process information made available through Shopify APIs according to the permissions approved by the merchant.

Depending on the features used, this information may include:

• Shopify store domain and store-identification information;
• products and product-related information;
• inventory information;
• Shopify location information;
• orders and order-related information;
• fulfilment and merchant-managed fulfilment information;
• customer information associated with orders, where required for order management or customer service;
• customer name, email address, phone number or shipping/billing address where included in relevant order data; and
• authentication and connection information required to maintain the Shopify integration.

Camsols requests only the Shopify permissions reasonably required for the functionality made available through the app.

4. Technical and Usage Information

We may collect limited technical information necessary to operate, secure, maintain and troubleshoot the Services, including:

• server and application logs;
• error and diagnostic logs;
• authentication and session information;
• API request metadata;
• security events;
• browser, device or network information where technically necessary; and
• usage information related to application functionality.

Camsols may use information for the following purposes:

• creating and maintaining Camsols accounts;
• connecting Shopify stores with the correct Camsols business account;
• importing, displaying and managing Shopify orders;
• supporting order-processing workflows;
• accessing and managing products and inventory;
• using Shopify location information for inventory-related operations;
• supporting fulfilment-related workflows;
• providing customer and merchant support;
• maintaining application security and preventing misuse;
• diagnosing errors and technical issues;
• improving service reliability and functionality;
• complying with legal obligations;
• responding to valid privacy or deletion requests; and
• enforcing our agreements and protecting the rights, security and integrity of Camsols and its users.

Camsols does not sell merchant or customer personal information.

Certain Shopify order records may contain personal information relating to a merchant's customers, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping or billing addresses and order details.

Camsols processes this information only where required to provide order-management, fulfilment, store-management, operational or customer-service functionality requested by the merchant.

Merchants remain responsible for ensuring that their own collection and use of customer data through Shopify complies with applicable privacy, consumer-protection and data-protection laws.

7. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing personal information, Camsols may rely on one or more of the following:

• performance of a contract or provision of requested Services;
• compliance with legal obligations;
• legitimate business interests, including security, fraud prevention, service operation and support;
• consent, where consent is required; or
• another lawful basis permitted under applicable law.

8. How We Share Information

Camsols does not sell personal information. We may share information only where reasonably necessary for legitimate business, technical or legal purposes.

Information may be shared with:

• cloud-hosting and infrastructure providers;
• database, monitoring, security and backup providers;
• transactional communication providers;
• customer-support or technical service providers;
• professional advisers where reasonably necessary;
• government authorities, courts or regulators where required by law; and
• other parties where disclosure is necessary to protect legal rights, security or prevent fraud or abuse.

Service providers are expected to process information only as needed to perform the services provided to Camsols and subject to appropriate confidentiality and security obligations.

9. Shopify Authentication and Access Tokens

Shopify access and refresh tokens received during the installation or authorisation process are used to communicate securely with Shopify APIs on behalf of the merchant.

These credentials are treated as confidential authentication information and are not intended to be exposed to customers, merchants or unauthorised third parties.

Camsols may encrypt or otherwise protect sensitive Shopify credentials and use access controls to limit who or what systems can access them.

10. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, loss or destruction.

These measures may include:

• HTTPS encryption for supported data transmissions;
• secure authentication and access controls;
• encrypted storage of sensitive integration credentials;
• hashed passwords and API credentials;
• restricted production database and server access;
• security logging and monitoring;
• application-level authorisation checks; and
• routine maintenance and security updates.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and Camsols cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Data Retention

Camsols retains information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain operational records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements and satisfy applicable Shopify platform requirements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the purpose for which it was collected, applicable legal requirements and whether the merchant continues to use Camsols.

When information is no longer required, it may be deleted, anonymised, securely archived or otherwise disposed of in accordance with applicable legal and operational requirements.

12. App Uninstallation

When a merchant uninstalls Camsols Order Management from Shopify, Camsols may receive an app-uninstallation notification from Shopify.

Following uninstallation:

• the relevant Shopify connection may be marked inactive;
• ongoing authorised access to Shopify through that installation will stop;
• certain information may remain temporarily where necessary for legal compliance, security, support, backups or dispute resolution; and
• Shopify privacy requests may still be processed where applicable.

13. Shopify Privacy and Compliance Requests

Camsols supports Shopify privacy and compliance mechanisms that may require apps to respond to customer or shop data requests.

Depending on the request received through Shopify, Camsols may process:

• customer data access requests;
• customer data deletion requests; and
• shop data deletion requests.

Such requests are handled in accordance with Shopify platform requirements, this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

14. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights in relation to your personal information, including the right to:

• request access to personal information held about you;
• request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
• request deletion of personal information;
• request restriction of certain processing;
• object to certain processing activities;
• request information about how your data is used or shared;
• withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
• exercise other rights available under applicable privacy law.

Camsols Order Management does not use Shopify customer data for behavioural advertising unless such activity is separately disclosed and permitted by applicable law.

Camsols may use infrastructure or service providers located in India or other countries. As a result, information may be processed or stored outside the country where a merchant, user or customer is located.

Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, Camsols will use appropriate measures required by applicable law.

Camsols services are intended for businesses and authorised business users and are not designed for use by children.

Camsols does not knowingly design its business services to collect personal information directly from children.

18. Third-Party Platforms and Services

Camsols may integrate with third-party platforms such as Shopify, marketplaces, payment providers, logistics providers, cloud infrastructure and communication services.

Those third parties may independently process information under their own privacy policies and terms. Camsols is not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third-party services outside our control.

19. Business Transfers

If Camsols is involved in a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, sale of assets or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality protections.
